Cardmaking is one of my oldest favorite crafts. Handmade greeting cards! I love making greeting cards and I like several techniques. I love to stamp, I love mixed media cards but I also love to work with pieces of scrappaper or sometimes left over paper from other craft projects. Sometimes I draw the pictures for the cards myself.
Like this card that I have made for my son, who loves the Mario Bross games. I draw the picture of Tode myself. I search on the internet for an example and I found a nice and easy one. Then I coloured it in with my copic markers.
Sometimes I love making decoupage greeting cards. I especially like the big, funny and bright 3D images, like this sweet owl!
I have lots of inspirational books about making greeting cards. And this card is very much inspired by the book “Scrapkaarten” (=Scrapcards). I just take the sketch and made all the embellishments myself.
And this is handmade greeting card is a real sweetie-peetie card. It says “veel liefs” what meens: lot’s of love.
I love making sunburst cards too. It is a good way to use up your paper scraps and paper stash!
An other way of using up your stash of paper is making a patchwork card!
It is always handy when you have some cards beside to send to some-one who could use a little attention!
I love making different kind of greeting cards. For this one I used a stamp and I used little pieces of paper scraps to fill the stamped image.
This is a little funny greeting card, with a happy bird who is tjierping: Tjiep tjiep Horay!
Just a verry simple greeting card. Simple, but elegant.
A beautiful and romantic birthday greeting card. I used a doily heart in the background. The flowers are handmade, af course!
A sweet vintage card. The dutch text I used is saying: Lot’s of love.
This card is enspired by a Hero Arts tutorial. You can’t see it verry well, but it is embossed with the text Gefeliciteerd, wich meens Happy Birthday.
I hope you like my handmade greeting cards! Thanks for visiting today and hope to see you next time!
